Hi! I’m Elodie, a French teacher for expats living in Paris. I hold a Master’s degree in Modern French Literature and a specialized diploma (DAEFLE) for teaching French to non-native speakers. My goal is to help you settle into life in France, whatever your objectives may be!

I lived in England for a little while, so I have firsthand experience in how challenging (and sometimes frustrating!) it can be to navigate daily life in a country where you don’t speak the language. Ordering food, asking for help, making small talk… everything feels harder. But I made it — and so can you!

My teaching approach is practical and human. That’s why I predominantly focus on conversation and real-life situations. We work on grammar only when it’s useful and necessary, always in context, so it actually makes sense and helps you progress.

My objective is to help you speak with confidence and naturally assimilate to French life. From feeling comfortable in social contexts such as ordering at a restaurant, asking for directions and handling everyday tasks, to eventually taking an active part in conversations without fear. Step by step, I’ll help you build the skills you need to communicate naturally and feel at ease.
